The impact of energy and vibrations

Welcome to another session on Great Invocation. How are you all keeping today? A blissful Sunday! Yes, managed to do whatever that you need to do? Normally, you have got backlog of activities for Sunday for most of us. Hope you managed to do it happily!

Happiness in everything that you do. That is the most important thing. Doing what you do with love, with joy. That is another level of energy. So, regardless of what you do, let there always be a quotient of joy, happiness and do it cheerfully and joyfully.

Every time you do an activity, just consider what kind of energy that you are radiating while you are delivering your different obligations or duties, so that, that energy gets permeated in your immediate surroundings. This is what we have been discussing yesterday, about the impact of energy and vibrations.

For example, if you are cooking, ensure that there is so much of joy in what you are doing so that what you cook gets impregnated with the vibrations of joy and happiness, so that the people who eat, their mind is in a subtle way, influenced with positive vibrations.

Often, it has been observed that when people take food in a very undesirable environment, the way they conduct themselves is very different. Even to the extent of what you eat having an effect on the quality of the sleep that you are having. Some of you might have noticed.

So, it is not about tasty food. It is tasty food plus the quality of energy. Even if the food is not tasty, but the quality of energy is there and the food is impregnated with love, with vibrations of happiness, this is million times better than going for some sumptuous food impregnated with energies of stress and other types of emotions.

All right, there was an important question. “What do you mean by zero waste?”

Zero waste comes in so many levels. First and foremost thing is the thought. Given that every thought is energy and therefore, if you have numerous thoughts in a day that are unproductive and pessimistic or negative thoughts, it actually brings down your energy level considerably.

There had been a study that was shared earlier. On an average, it was said that a person has got about 60,000 thoughts per day. Later, somebody said it is 20,000 thoughts but regardless of whether it is 60,000 or 20,000, even 20,000 thought a day is a huge figure.

Now, out of the 20,000, check how many thoughts are productive, positive, uplifting, benevolent thoughts. When you check, then, you will understand what kind of energy that you are exuding moment to moment and what kind of energies that you can expect to attract to yourself.

So, no point in blaming the environment, blaming people, blaming life, when what is going out of you most part of your day and of your life is not very wholesome. That is why, the first and foremost instruction of the great masters is wholesome thoughts. Wholesome speech leads to wholesome action.

Therefore, zero waste begins with the way you think and zero waste also is about how do you communicate. Are you communicating just for the sake of communicating, just to belong to the crowd? Many at times, you go to party and 1,000 useless things you keep on talking and talking and talking. I had experienced it myself when I was in the marketing career.

That is why, most of the time I was aloof from the crowd. It was not a very pleasant experience. Though I was basically a very good performing marketing executive, but then when it came to partying, I had little contribution because I did not have the habit of talking for the sake of keeping yourself busy or belonging to the crowd.

So, this is a very important thought that you can easily contemplate about. There is no need to talk. That is why, a great master said, if it is not the truth, if it is not kind and if it is not useful, better not to say anything. So, three important qualifications. You qualify your speech on these three levels.

First, check whether it is the truth, second, check whether it is kind, third, check whether it is useful. The masters said, if it is not so, do not speak!

Of course, there are certain practical considerations from the corporate angle, where you have to certain extent engage in some dialogue. But if the dialogue can be more productive, more constructive, you have to remember whether corporate or president or prime minister, all are basically souls.

When you start looking at the people from the perspective of the soul, you understand that, that particular soul is playing the role of a corporate executive, playing the role of a prime minister, playing the role of a president, but the bottom line is playing whatever role it is assigned, the soul is still evolving.

It is not useful for the soul to be assigned with very important responsible role and the soul did not know how to take opportunity, how to take advantage out of the role that it is expected to play by wasting its time. So, even though you might be seeing the people in very high positions, remember at a deeper level, regardless of the position that people are in, still to a great extent, they need the spiritual food.

See to what extent you can possibly engage people in positive discussions, positive dialogues by picking up some subjects. Certain preparations might be required. Of course, not that everywhere this is going to be applicable. We need to be practical also, but as far as possible, rather than gossiping about the neighbor, talk something more productive.

This, I am seeing it in my own college alumni, where I am basically in touch with my college group. I basically did my Bsc Physics between 1975 and 1978 in Swami Vivekananda College in Chennai. At that time, I think it was number 2 college in Tamil Nadu. And why I am saying this, is because the people who entered the college needed to be at certain intelligence level.

For sure, I can say 90% of my colleagues were assigned senior executive positions. Most of them were chief executive officers or very successful entrepreneurs but despite all this, when I am basically checking the quality of the WhatsApp that is being shared, it is far from what you would desire. Not really very useful communication.

Of course, there are certain times intelligent communication happens but most of the time, we are basically discussing about sundry issues, about criticizing politicians, 70 to 80% of the chats are criticizing somebody or some system.

What are you actually accomplishing over and over by criticizing systems and politicians? Rather you take little time, even 5 minutes to spread some vibrations of peace so that the soul in the form of a politician is receiving some support to become better.

If you are constantly going to have so much of negative thoughts towards people, you are not giving that person an opportunity to become better. This is what is called psychic attack.

Constantly, you are actually penetrating the aura of the person with so much of hatred, so much of anger, it actually puts the person in a state of misbalance. So, the person who is bad becomes worse and you are not actually contributing in any way.

So, if you are truly interested in the welfare of your country, first of all, start sending positive peaceful vibrations towards politicians. This is important. Don’t forget whatever they are, they are compelled to play the role that they have to play for many factors.

You will not be able to understand it. You do not know what is happening in the inner world, why people are expected to play a certain role. Though it is very crude to say this, even Hitler had a mission from the spiritual point of view, very bad to say this but unfortunately it is the truth.

There is nothing called injustice from the spiritual point of view because it’s about balance. So, whether it is an ecological factor or it is a political scenario, justice is all the time happening. Of course, the people who are doing injustice have to pay for their own karma.

This is a different subject altogether but in general, when we talk about zero waste, ensure that what goes out of you is kind, is helpful, is benevolent. That is exactly what we mean by zero waste.

So, in one of the very profound discussions I was listening. This is actually about the ex-head of the organization called Brahma Kumaris. Once, one of the sisters of the organization was actually travelling with Dadi Janki. She is no more in the physical body. She was the Head of the organization of Brahma Kumaris.

So, while she was travelling with Dadi in UK, the sister started having some nauseating feeling but Dadi did not give much care to it. She was actually very busy reading some words of wisdom by Lord God. She was reading and then after some time, she told the sister, ‘Please take notes!’

Now, the sister is already suffering in deep pain and suddenly, without even understanding what is her plight, when Dadi Janki asked her to take notes, she had to stop the car and she had to move out of the car, she had to release herself with some vomiting and then she had to enter the car.

And then, after some time, Dadi noticed she was peaceful. They went back to the center. After some time, the sister went to Dadi and she said, ‘Why are you so insensitive? You saw me so much in pain, how come you did not basically give me a word of solace?’

Dadi said, ‘You have to learn your lesson. What kind of discussion you had at the breakfast table this morning? Just try to recall.’ And obviously, the sister was talking about something not really connected to the mission that the institution is having, nor to the activity that Dadi had given her.

It was gossip. So, she said that every time you have a wastage of energy through this kind of gossip, you are actually putting your energy low. What you experience is actually the result of something you should not have engaged in the first place. Then, she reminded her, ‘Remember, zero waste!’

Zero waste in your thoughts, in your speech, in your actions. Very very profound lessons. So, some of the great masters that I have met, you might be apparently thinking that they are very unkind but then, forever, they give you lessons that the soul gets once and for all. So, they are not basically going to caress you but basically help you to evolve.

Karma and Varna Dharma

Let’s proceed with Karma and Varna Dharma. Very very important study that we are having. Yesterday, we were reading about four tiered classification as per the Vedic scriptures. Let us continue!

The ‘Varna’ had nothing to do with one’s religion at birth or social status, and was based on merits that would allow anyone to become a Brahmin or a Kshatriya, so long as one had the traits and skills of that ‘Varna’. For example, the Brahmins of the Vaishnav cult from South India earlier prohibited people of ‘lower caste’ from entering religious shrines

I guess even today, this is being followed. If you go to Nepal, Pashupatinath, I guess foreigners are not allowed to enter the shrine. Correct me if I’m wrong. So, Brahmins of the Vaishnav cult, so Vaishnav cult is very orthodox Brahmins. I am coming from that Vaishnav cult, so I know how orthodox this Vaishnav cult is.

Of course, I never belonged to any religion, but when I was actually seeing my grandparents, and even my parents, incredible level of orthodox. I mean, if you are not basically belonging to the Vaishnav cult, forget about you might be a Brahmin, belonging to another cult but you cannot basically enter our house.

There is a place for you to enter and more importantly, you will not be given stainless steel glass because that is considered to be something that gets contaminated. So, whether it is a labor class on the road who is actually digging the road or a Brahmin who doesn’t belong to the Vaishnav cult, if they come to the house, they will be served water in silver glass. Yes, silver glass.

So, sometime the labor class workers on the street, when they ask for water and they are served in silver, pure silver, thick, solid ones, they use to get perplexed. So, our tradition is that silver is least contaminated.

And later, I came to know from Grandmaster, why some of the Gurus are wearing silver shoes, is basically because when the disciple is touching the feet of the Master, the Master doesn’t get contaminated, because the silver shields them. Very interesting.

So, from the ancient time the tradition knew what exactly happens. I’m talking about a tradition that is 500+ years old. So, from the ancient time, people knew about all this contamination and other things that we are basically talking in the world of energy today. So, that is how severe and staunch the Vaishnav cult people were. So, the point here is:

…the Brahmins of the Vaishnav cult from South India earlier prohibited people of ‘lower caste’ from entering religious shrines, but their revered Alwars,

‘Alwars’ are actually like, you know the ‘Apostles,’ the 12 Apostles. We also have got 12 Alwars.

… the great saints, came from all castes. Nammalwar, Tirumangai Alwar and Kulashekhara Alwar were not Brahmins, while Thiruppaan Alwar belonged to the ‘untouchable’ caste.

Now, this untouchable caste is also called ‘Paraya.’ Nowadays, they use the word ‘Dalit.’ This is not actually the four tier system. It is apart from the four tier, you can call it the fifth classification which had actually happened in the recent time.

So, you have to understand that the way we looked at the caste system was highly deplorable, despite the repeated reminders from the Great Saints, that regardless of the caste that you belong to, you can and you will become a great revered Saint.

It is not about what you were at birth. It is about what you become. That is the most important message. We shall continue because we are into a very important discussion that actually talks about the plight of the humanity today.

Once we understand all these intricate subjects, you will become a better person and at least from your side, you will learn to respect everybody, which I’m sure most of you or all of you are already doing it.
