EP64: Karma and Dharma III

Commentaries by Vee Jay Attri during the Book Study – Secrets of Karma

Atma Namaste to all of you. How are you all keeping? Super happy, super healthy, super strong. Yes, taking good care of yourselves physically, emotionally, mentally, of course spiritually with good practices. Yes. That’s very good.

These are the times when you need to be very careful about small, small things. Also cultivate faith in the system, faith in yourself, faith in the divine plan, faith in the people around you. You have to constantly somehow radiate the faith. This is very, very important.

Even if you find the situations or the people not up to the mark, let your thoughts towards them be benevolent. You need to radiate good wishes. Sometime back, we talked about what is called ‘Bhramari Missal.’ You know the Bhramari, which is the bumble bee.

So, the saying is that the way the Bhramari helps its sibling to fly is by constantly radiating the vibrations of ‘bhoom bhoom’. You know when it flies close to you, you might hear this beautiful music I can call it ‘bhoom bhoom.’ That’s basically because of its rapid movements of the wings.

This sound, as per the saying, helps the siblings to fly. That is why we say ‘Bhramari missal.’ Missal means an example. So, the example of the bumble bee, that could be somewhat the translation. The idea here is to convey that you have to constantly do the job of the Bhramari or the bumble bee. You have to keep radiating with the vibrations of hope.

Though you might be finding things to be hopeless or people to be hopeless, you have to cultivate the habit of radiating with that energy of hope. You need to have that faith, fundamental faith that everything will be allright.

If there is all the time doubts about yourself, about people around, doubt in the system, everywhere, this is not going to help you to improve the situation. The doubts that you constantly radiate with becomes even more stronger.

And that is why, while you are taking prudent actions you will not be gullible, at the same time you need to radiate that vibrations of faith. That is why, in the prayer of St Francis of Assisi, we say where there is doubt, let there be faith.

So, you have to become the Bhramari, you have to constantly keep radiating the vibrations of hope, the vibrations of faith for things to become better. In your eyes, all the time, see the people as beings made in the image of God. You have to see them as beings of light, you have to see them Christ, as Buddha, as Krishna, whatever you think you can.

It’s only by holding pure wishes with a pure vision towards people and situations that we can contribute in the rapid transformations of the conditions of our life and the conditions of the planet. So, never ever get completely bogged down with the weight of the situation. Let there be a ray of hope that you radiate into even the worst of the worst situations of life.

That is exactly what we have to do and also, remember, the masters used to all the time remind, your limitations are not the limitations of the higher beings. From your side, if you have done your very best, the next step is surrender. And constantly, keep seeing in your eyes, in your mind what you want, not what it is. Did you get me very correctly?

Easy for you to get bogged down with what you see, but the smart thing to do is, in your visions, in your mind, see what that person or the situation to be. That is what you have to hold and this is actually a form of imitating the Bhramari, the bumblebee.

The moment you set your vision on what you need or what you want things to be, that energy, that vibration will do the job of the ‘bhoom bhoom,’ of the Bhramari, of the bumble bee. So, all the time remember the key word. When I am confronted with any difficult situation, I will be the bumblebee. I will silently radiate the vibrations of hope, of faith.

So, the key word is ‘bhoom bhoom.’ So, Bhoom is hope, bhoom is faith. That is what you need to do. If somebody is saying something, let your mind remind you bhoon bhoon, hope and faith. That is what you need to radiate.

If you follow this, definitely there is a greater hope for yourself, for your life, for the people in your life, for the country and for the whole world. Alright, there was a very beautiful question from a student. What is the difference between indifference and being an observer? Big difference!

If you are an observer, you will do the best and leave the rest, that means you will do whatever you can to the best of your ability and you will simply be detached, you will surrender to the higher wisdom. So, surrendering to the higher wisdom and detachment happens only after you do whatever you can do the best of your ability.

In certain cases, where you simply cannot do anything about it, there you learn to be 100% percent an observer, being completely detached. And learn to radiate “bhoon bhoon”, hope and faith, that this too shall pass, that the cycle will turn around, that everything will be just good. That is what is called an observer.

Indifferent people are indifferent basically. They are careless and they don’t care about anything. They are insensitive. So being an observer and detached is a completely different level of your life. It has got nothing to do with being indifferent. Have you understood? Wonderful!

Let us continue with our study. But before that let’s do a short invocation. Just be aware of the heart flame, inhale deeply and slowly. When I say heart flame, I mean the pink flame at the centre of the heart centre. Remember, the colour pink is associated with peace, with love, with harmony, with compassion.

So, when you find somebody radiating with lots of energy of peace and love, clairvoyantly, you see the person in an ocean of pink light. So, the pink is the colour of peace, colour of love and compassion. The moment you are in tune with the pink flame, especially, at the heart centre, which is the centre for love and compassion, very easy for you to experience love and peace.

Very easy for you to transmute distorted energies that might be surrounding you at that moment. If you are surrounded with energies of anger, hatred or rage, just be aware of the pink flame, radiate the pink light to your surroundings, to yourself first of all and then radiate to the people, to the surroundings.

Magically, there will be transformations. Let’s now be aware of the golden flame at the crown centre. The colour gold has got regeneration properties, symbolically, it is the colour of wisdom. The gold has got many, many properties and it is basically the divine energy.

So, one is the energy of love, another one is the energy of divinity or spiritual energy. The combination of that makes a lot of difference, lot of changes in a matter of few seconds in your overall energy level.

So, are you aware of the pink flame? Be aware of the golden flame and silently follow me:

To The Supreme Being, to The Divine Father, to The Divine Mother, all The Great Ones, all The Holy Gurus, Holy Masters, all the saints, archangels, holy angels, spiritual helpers and all the great ones, all our mentors, guides, teachers: thank you for the purifying light!

Our divine soul, divine self, thank you for the inner guidance! Thank you for the inner strength! Thank you for the divine protection! Thank you for shielding us and the members of our family from all psychic contaminations, psychic attacks, and psychic inclusions! Supremely grateful for all the blessings!

Also, thank you for giving us an opportunity to be of some service to the people, to our own brothers and sisters. Inhale the blessings, be aware of the body. Exhale, relax. Smile!

Alright, we were reading the topic on Karma and Dharma. So, we were concluding with the most important statement between right and more right, choose the more right.

Delivering one’s duty should not be considered to be an act of kindness or compassion. It is also not part of your service and sharing. This is just doing your duty for the sake of fulling your obligations and developing skills or virtues connected with it.

We were taking the example of a family situation where it is your duty to serve your family. That is an obligation. While you are delivering your obligations with full devotion and commitment, you also develop many things that you need to develop, for example practicing unconditional love, selfless love.

Practicing ‘acceptance,’ because certain members of your family will be different and you have to accept them as they are, without exhibiting any form of frustration or anger towards them. Said easily, but then over time, we have to somehow practice, if not all the time but at least most of the time.

And even if there is any anger or frustration radiated towards them, quickly you have to practice what we call, ‘Recall and cancel’. Mentally say, ‘I recall and cancel’ this negative thought, this anger that I projected to my loved one, I mentally say “Erase, erase, erase!” And then, imagine the pink light at the centre of the heart, just visualise pink light from you radiating to that person, I bless you with peace, I bless you with love!

This is so important. All the time remember, normally, people who are close to you are the ones who give you sometimes, if not most of the time, maximum pain. There are reasons for that. We had already explored it, but we will explore it again.

So, that is exactly how these people get connected to you so closely. Sometimes, you end up in an utterly butterly negative relationship because you were responsible for ruining the life of somebody in your previous lifetime. Those people have to settle the score and they will come to you as a very close member.

If you start reacting and getting angry, you are now going to be entangled in a relationship that is so negative, not only in this lifetime, but you are actually carrying it to in another lifetime. That is exactly where unconditional forgiveness, unconditional love and blessings really are very, very important.

Any negative state binds you karmically, any reaction binds you karmically, any anger and hatred that you direct towards people binds you with the people, binds you with the situation. That means, you did not learn the lessons, so these lessons will appear in another form. You have to spiritually grow. There is no other way.

This is just doing your duty for the sake of fulling your obligations and developing skills or virtues connected with it. We have a foundation, the author is saying, we have a foundation for supporting people, yet it forms part of our duty and we will still have to tithe.

So, the author cannot say, ‘I’m already having a charitable institution serving people, that becomes an obligation because that is the chosen path to serve the people.’ Over and above fulfilling that obligation, as a role that you are playing, you have to do something more.

You cannot say I am taking care of my family, I am taking care of my friends, once in a while I call the people for a wonderful party, I am so generous. This is not actually called service and tithing. Tithing is a very different thing. Tithing is actually “dhun” for people who are in need outside your obligations.

Sometimes there is an issue about whether it is dharma to kill pest and insects like cockroaches and mosquitoes. While there are many debates about it…

Debates because many religions believe that this is actually a sin killing mosquitoes and cockroaches. And that is why, you will find that some religious people, they even wear a mask just not to harm even the bacteria in the surrounding. Of course, this are basically very very extreme and impractical things in our modern life.

Because you cannot keep brooming the path while you are walking, just to ensure that no ant or any other insects you are stepping on inadvertently. So, spirituality also need to be practical. There need to be a proper balance of spirituality and practicality. That is very important. And that is why, we are said, though there are many different views about it, killing cockroaches and mosquitoes.

While there are many debates about it from religious perspective, it is often considered right to eradicate them for the sake of one self-preservation or survival.

So, every time I happen to kill a mosquito, mentally I decree: ‘May you go to the next level of evolution, may you evolve!’ Some kind of blessing happens, so that that energy or the being which is in the form of mosquito gets the blessings to move on to the next stage of evolution.

So, killing the mosquito is necessary, at the same time, blessing it is also equally important. We will talk more about it tomorrow with the story.
